RIP: Beautiful Photos Of Nairobi Businesswoman Killed By Husband While Housemaid Watched Helplessly

Shock and sadness have gripped Nairobi after the brutal killing of 27-year-old businesswoman Susan Nabwire, a young mother of a one-year-old child.

Susan, who operated an M-Pesa shop at the Country Bus Station, lost her life at the hands of her husband, Cyprian Magove.

Police reports indicated that he took her keys and phone, hit her as she climbed the stairs, and forced her into the house, where he locked the doors.

The man then began strangling her and demanded dinner.

When she served him food, an argument broke out.

According to investigators, he walked into the bathroom, came out with an axe, and struck her multiple times while threatening her.

The violence escalated further when he forced the househelp, who was holding the baby, to bring him a knife.

He stabbed Susan in the eye before dragging her body under their bed and attempting to clean up the scene.

The househelp, who was threatened with death if she raised an alarm, later revealed that she was also assaulted and traumatised during the ordeal.

After the suspect left the house, the maid raised screams that alerted neighbours, who quickly informed the police.

Officers later arrested Cyprian, and his case is now before the court.

Authorities have confirmed that the househelp is under protection and receiving therapy at a safehouse, while the family of the late Susan is also being supported through grief counselling.

The horrific incident has once again raised concern over rising domestic violence cases in the city, with calls for stronger community vigilance and timely interventions to protect vulnerable victims.
