Wiper Patriotic Front Party have accused President William Ruto of advancing online propaganda to frustrates their presidential candidate Kalonzo Musyoka's 2027 bid.
In a statement released on Friday, the opposition party said a digital militia allegedly hired by President Ruto has been put in place to counter Kalonzo's growing popularity.
They warned that the plan won't materialize saying Kalonzo's integrity was well know.
" He has unleashed his digital militia and propaganda machine in a futile attempt to destroy what he cannot buy: Kalonzo's integrity," the Wiper SG claimed.
They also dismissed claim that the Wiper boss didn't deliver to his community when he was in office.
The party accused President Ruto of stalling the country’s progress since assuming office in 2022, claiming he has taken credit for projects initiated by previous administrations.
Wiper maintains that the Kibwezi–Mutomo–Kitui–Bondoni road, which lies at the center of the dispute, was launched by Kalonzo Musyoka in 2011 during his tenure as Vice President, but was later abandoned under the Jubilee government in 2013 when Ruto served as Deputy President.
At the same time, Senator Edwin Sifuna on Friday criticised Ruto for faulting Musyoka over the absence of a road to his home, arguing that such a project does not qualify as a national priority.
