Entered station but didn't fuel; CCTV captures Cyrus Jirongo's movements in petrol station moments before tragic crash

Fresh details have emerged about the final moments of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, following a tragic road accident that claimed his life along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway.

Investigators say CCTV footage obtained from a petrol station in Naivasha has helped piece together Jirongo’s movements just minutes before his car was involved in a deadly collision with a passenger bus.

According to information released by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the accident occurred shortly after 2:19 am on Saturday, December 13. 

Jirongo was driving a white Mercedes-Benz when it collided head-on with a Climax Coaches bus that was transporting passengers from Nairobi to Busia.
