Mizani Africa has released the Top 10 Best Performing Members of Parliament for 2025 after a detailed national assessment.
Notably, MP Babu Owino who has always been among the top performers has missed this time.
The ranking is based on the Mizani Africa Performance Index which tracks how MPs deliver on their constitutional duties.
The review focuses on representation lawmaking oversight and responsible use of public resources at the constituency level.
According to Mizani Africa strong performance is linked to visible work in Parliament and real outcomes on the ground.
MPs who ranked highly showed commitment to debates committee work and holding the Executive to account.
Citizens also rated them well for being accessible and active in their constituencies throughout the year.
At the top of the list Christopher Asseka of Khwisero and Gitonga Murugara of Tharaka tied with a score of 72.2 percent.
They were closely followed by Julius Mawathe of Embu South Joshua Kandie of Baringo Central and Walter Owino of Awendo.
All three scored 71.6 percent showing consistent leadership and public approval.
The index highlights effective management of the NG CDF as a key factor. Top MPs supported transparent bursary programs and invested in classrooms laboratories and learning facilities.
Many also backed local security projects including chiefs offices and policing infrastructure which communities say improved safety and service delivery.
Abraham Kirwa of Mosop Dr Kaki Nyamai of Kitui South and Kamande Mwafrika of Roysambu tied with scores of 67.3 percent.
Their performance reflected strong coordination with administrators and steady support for youth education health and social welfare initiatives that respond to local needs.
Mary Maingi of Mwea and Fred Kapondi of Mt Elgon tied with Raphael Wanjala of Budalangi completed the Top 10 with scores of 64.1 percent.
Mizani Africa says their inclusion shows citizens value accountability presence and results.
The 2025 index reinforces the message that leadership is measured by action service and impact felt daily by the people.
