Mixed Reactions As Sen Sifuna Appears In The List Of Leaders Plotting To Exit ODM Party Before 2027 Poll

Nairobi County Senator and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary-General, Edwin Sifuna, has been firm in his position regarding the current government.

He has consistently said that while ODM does not support the Kenya Kwanza government, the party continues to push for the implementation of the ten points in the NADCO report.

Recently, Sifuna has been facing growing political pressure from some members within his party.

These members are reportedly urging him to step down from his leadership position if he cannot align with the party’s direction and support its key ideas.

According to recent reports, Sifuna is now among several leaders who are considering leaving ODM ahead of the 2027 general election.

Others reportedly thinking about exiting include Kisii County Senator Richard Onyonka, Lugari Constituency MP Caleb Hamisi, and Uriri Constituency MP Mark Nyamita.

The possibility of these leaders leaving ODM has sparked discussions among Kenyans. People are sharing their opinions about what could happen if these prominent figures leave the party.

Some are questioning whether these leaders will be able to succeed without ODM, while others are curious about the potential impact on the party and the political scene ahead of the next election.

The situation has opened up a broader debate about loyalty, leadership, and the future of ODM as the 2027 polls approach. Many Kenyans are watching closely to see how these developments will unfold in the coming months.
