Tension As Polygamous Man Is Hospitalised After Being Disciplined By His 2 Wives; Here's The Reason

A shocking incident has been reported in Buyende District, Uganda, after two co-wives allegedly teamed up and attacked their husband over claims of infidelity, leaving him hospitalised with serious injuries.

The incident has sparked debate about domestic violence and conflict resolution in marriages.

Police confirmed that the two women are currently being held in custody as investigations into the incident continue.

Speaking from his hospital bed, Bebwa said he was deeply shocked by what happened.

He explained that his wives, who usually do not get along, surprisingly put aside their differences and planned the attack together.

According to him, the women accused him of having an extramarital affair, a claim he later admitted was true.

Bebwa said the attack left him with severe injuries to his private parts, and doctors had to act quickly to save him.

He described the experience as painful and traumatising, adding that he never imagined his marital issues would escalate to such violence.

He expressed particular disappointment in his first wife, Norah, saying he married her out of pity and now regrets that decision following the attack.

Despite his regrets and the pain he endured, Bebwa said the punishment he received was too harsh and almost cost him his life.

Doctors treating Bebwa confirmed that although his injuries were serious, he is expected to make a full recovery since no nerve damage was detected.

Medical staff said he was lucky, noting that similar attacks in the area have previously resulted in permanent damage or death.

In a surprising turn, Bebwa said he is open to reconciling with his two wives.

He explained that raising their children alone would be difficult and believes reconciliation may help restore stability in the family. However, he did not clarify whether counseling or mediation would be involved.

Police in Busoga North confirmed the incident and raised concern over the increasing number of domestic violence cases in the region, especially attacks targeting private parts.

The police spokesperson urged couples to avoid violence and seek peaceful ways of resolving marital disputes.

Authorities advised couples facing conflicts to seek help from community elders, family members, religious leaders, or the police. They warned that violence only leads to suffering, broken families, and legal consequences.
