Nobody in Our Opposition Ranks has Mobilised Unassailable, But Will Ready by November - Kabando Says

Former Member of Parliament Kabando Wa Kabando has made waves in Kenya's political circles with his powerful statement regarding the 2026 presidential race.

Kabando emphasized that in Kenya’s multiparty democracy, anyone who is qualified and able has the right to contest for the presidency – and he’s ready to seize that opportunity.

Kabando’s remarks came as he outlined his vision for the future, asserting that a serious candidate, one who commands the support of the majority of voters, will naturally rise to the top in a democratic election.

He didn't mince words when he declared that any credible competitor would be able to defeat President William Ruto, asserting that the time for change has come.

“The truth is, no one in our United Opposition has yet managed to form an unassailable coalition,” Kabando explained.

“However, I am ready. By November 2026, I will be prepared to take the fight to Ruto.”

Kabando’s message was clear: Kenya needs new leadership, and he is positioning himself as the alternative.

His declaration adds fuel to the ongoing political conversation about the future of Kenya’s leadership.

Yet, Kabando remains resolute, signaling that he will lead the charge for change when the time comes.

"Iko time," Kabando said, meaning "the time is now."

His words reflect a deep belief in his readiness to step into the political arena and lead the charge against an incumbent president he believes has lost the people’s trust.

As the political landscape heats up, Kabando Wa Kabando’s bold ambition has set the stage for a dramatic showdown in 2026.

Will he be the leader Kenya has been waiting for, or is this just another political promise? Only time will tell.
