Things are quickly boiling in the United Opposition with former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka's State House bid now hanging in the balance amid growing internal revolt.
In a new twist, Othaya MP hopeful, a key ally of the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Wahome Thuku, has turned the heat on Kalonzo, questioning his development track record.
According to Thuku, whereas Kalonzo has been in politics for over 40 years, rising to the heights of Vice President, he has nothing to show for his political longevity.
The fiery lawyer says that whereas there is a burning opposition desire to dislodge President William Ruto from power in 2027, Kalonzo should never be an option in the opposition.
The development comes just days after President William Ruto hit out Kalonzo, saying that he had nothing tangible to show for his four decades in the murky world of politics since being elected as an MP in 1985.
